The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum is located downtown in the beautifully restored 1903 El Paso County Courthouse. The best tourist attraction museum preserves the history and culture of the Pikes Peak region, and features permanent exhibits on the history of the area and changing exhibits on topics of broad interest.The Museum maintains nationally significant collections of quilts, Van Briggle art pottery, plus the finest regional landscape art collectionin the state of Colorado.

Miramont Castle in Colorado is a 14,000 square foot National Historic Landmark. The Castle features nine styles of architecture ranging from English Tudor to Byzantine; all crafted from locally quarried greenstone. Today, Miramont Castle is dedicated to preserving the Victorian heritage of Manitou Springs & the Pikes Peak Region. Our mission is to preserve and restore the architectural integrity of Miramont Castle Museum and to provide educational experiences and resources on the history of Manitou Springs, its indigenous people and artifacts.
Manitou Cliff Dwellings
The Manitou Cliff Dwellings overlooks Manitou Springs, Colorado at the foot of Pikes Peak. Wander leisurely through the preserve and explore the fascinating architecture of the Anasazi. This preserve was first open to the public in 1907 and represents some of the finest architecture of the Anasazi Culture throughout Colorado and New Mexico.Below the Manitou Springs Cliff Dwellings is a three-story Pueblo-style building that was built in the style of the descendants of the Anasazi. The first six rooms of our Pueblo were built in 1904 and housed a family of local Native Americans until 1984. Since then, the Pueblo has been expanded faithfully in the architectural style of the Pueblo Indians and houses our Anasazi museum and gift shop.
