Top California attractions, we didn't know it would be so hard. First, we had to define an attraction - which for our purposes is a single place and not a city, town or national park. We decided to limit these top California attractions to the short list of things that everyone should think about doing.

Perhaps among the most recognizable landmarks in the United States, the Golden Gate Bridge spans the water between the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
